Too many other meetings scheduled to go into great detail, but I will be stopping by a lot of 3rd Party Plug-in booths to see what they are doing to accommodate the many applications out there. Some I have already talked about on this site, but many are still trying to get the word out about what their stuff can do.[an error occurred while processing this directive]One of my big concerns that will play out at this year’s show is the state of the industry. With the goings on in other countries, the ever-faulty economy, and the increased competition among companies, I will be most interested to see what the attendance will be like. I would like to say that an upswing is immanent, but that would fall into my dream category. I think the current state of the industry will continue along this line for at least another two years before anything improves dramatically.
I’ll try and get a feeling from those in attendance as to their views and report them back to you in my convention diary.
Each day of the show (Sunday-Wednesday night) I’ll have a new diary entry, which summarizes my day and gives you a peak at the fun and cool things I have seen. If you can’t attend the show, check back here and it will be almost like going there (except you won’t have to wait in long taxi lines in the hot sun, eat bad convention food, fight your way through the crowds to get into the really good events, etc.). Of course if you do get to attend the show and see me, say “hi”… I’m not that evil of a person that I won’t shake your hand and spend a moment or two talking about the industry with you.Here’s to a good show!
