When the render is complete, Import the movie file into Final Cut Pro 4 and add it to your timeline.

One of the disadvantages of the current dialogue between Final Cut Pro 4 and LiveType (or I should say lack of dialogue between the applications), is that if you now need to shorten or modify the original clip, changing the In and Out points of your LiveType movie will not automatically adjust any fades or timing to the LiveType file. You will need to go back into LiveType make the modifications and rerender the animation. That is why I said at the beginning to make sure you have a final or very fine cut of your project complete before adding LiveType graphics.

As an alternative – if your client demands that you place graphics in the timeline while he sits there with you editing, go ahead and use Calligraphy or Simple Text as a placeholder. Make sure you explain to the client that the “boring” text is only a temp track. Then when he/she is satisfied with the edit, go in and add the “exciting” graphics your client desires.
