uncompressed standard-definition (SD) and uncompressed high-definition
(HD) video solutions available only on the Macintosh.
Pinnacle Systems' TARGA Cine, designed to take advantage of the
performance of the Power Mac G4, combined with Apple's Final Cut
Pro, delivers maximum-quality video capabilities for high-end media
creators. For the first time, a fully configured uncompressed SD
system is expected to start at under $10,000.

The TARGA Cine, expected to be available this summer, delivers uncompressed
SD and uncompressed HD video acquisition, creation and distribution;
simultaneous output of SD and HD video; real-time 3:2 pull down
for converting between 24fps and 30fps material; and two Digital
Tether ports for connecting to a family of breakout boxes for flexible
I/O options.
