DPS to Unveil High-Definition Editor at SIGGRAPH

MARKHAM, ONTARIO (July 13, 2000) -- Digital Processing Systems Inc. will unveil a high-definition (HD) post-production system at SIGGRAPH 2000 in New Orleans.

The new high-definition product, called dpsReality HD, is based on dpsReality hardware, and opens the world of high-definition production to a much wider range of content creators than ever before. dpsReality HD will allow users to create productions for high-definition, standard-definition (SD), DVD and Internet distribution, all in one affordable, integrated system.

"High-definition has been a key technology trend for quite some time, but the high costs associated with HD production have been an impediment to the vast majority of content producers," said Brick Eksten, Director of Technology at DPS. "We have been working closely with industry-leaders in high-definition television technology to ensure that our solution perfectly meets the needs of this quickly evolving market. Our unique approach to breaking down the barriers to HD production will bring high-definition within the grasp of a much larger percentage of post-production professionals."
