NewTek booth will feature the Video Toaster and LightWave running on IBM IntelliStation systems. IBM and NewTek plan strategic marketing for 2000 and 2001.

NEW ORLEANS, LA (July 24, 2000) -- NewTek Inc., manufacturer of industry-leading 3D animation and video products, announced that the company is teaming up with IBM at SIGGRAPH 2000 in New Orleans to showcase their best-of-breed technology for film, video and broadcast professionals, focusing on NewTek's Video Toaster, LightWave and streaming media capabilities. IBM will be NewTek's exclusive supplier of Windows based workstations for SIGGRAPH 2000. In addition, NewTek and IBM plan to work together for the remainder of 2000 and into 2001 to promote broadband Internet digital content delivery as well as integration of 3D and video tools. At SIGGRAPH, NewTek and IBM are working together to showcase the power of these technologies by demonstrating key NewTek products on IntelliStations as well as producing live streaming "TV" segments from the show floor. This content will be online for the world to view through Internet broadcasting. The programs will be produced on the exhibit floor and web cast using NewTek tools including LightWave and Video Toaster

LightWave is the best selling 3D software for film, broadcast and video.
